Habitat for
Horses Hitchcock, TX
We have a board of directors that sets policy and procedures for
our organization. We were active in Louisiana after
hurricane Katrina with rescuing not only horses but dogs and
cats. We were called into action soon after when East Texas and
Louisiana were hit by Hurricane Rita. We have received a 501c3
non profit status from the IRS.
Miracle Ranch Foundation Bandera, TX
Miracle Ranch Foundation was founded July 20, 2007, and opened our doors on November 10th, 2007. We have been averaging 1 to 2 horses per month, and our facility can only maintain about 20 horses at this time. Our first concern for our horses is their health. Once they are physically rehabilitated, we begin "re-training".
Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society College Station, Fort Bend
Our organization was founded in 2005. We work with law
enforcement officers throughout Arkansas and Texas to
investigate reports of neglect and abuse, educate the owners
when possible, and seize/remove the horses when necessary. Most
of us are MS and PhD in Animal Science, specializing in Equine
Behavior, learning and welfare. We're a registered 501c3
non-profit, and we've received grants from the ASPCA and
PETsMART.
